  • Skill in proofreading and preparing grammatically correct documents with attention to detail.

  • Advanced level working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

  • Ability to provide excellent customer service.

  • Ability to multi-task under pressure and complete work within established deadlines.

  • Strong organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Three years of experience as an administrative assistant to an executive with strong understanding of proper protocol, especially with dignitaries and high-level administrators.

  • Experience managing student workers.

  • Baccalaureate degree.

  • Proficient in Concur, SAP .

Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Vice Provost ( SVP ), the Senior Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the SVP and assisting other staff members of the Provost’s Office with administrative activities.

Job Duties

  • Manage the calendar of the SVP by scheduling meetings and appointments.

  • Prepare accurate and timely reports, correspondence, meeting minutes and other documents as required.

  • Answer and screen incoming calls, greet guests, provide customer service to students, staff, faculty and guests, handle incoming inquiries by researching and providing accurate answers.

  • Process travel requests and expense reports for the provost staff members.

  • Assist SVP with various special projects and initiatives.

  • Coordinate events for the Provost’s Office.

  • Process PCRs, create requisitions/purchase orders and pay invoices.

  • Manage the UPPS review cycle for the Division of Academic Affairs and all Academic Affairs policy statements for which the SVP or Provost is the senior reviewer.

  • Manage student workers.

  • Participate in all commencement ceremonies on the Core Commencement Team.

  • Other duties as assigned.
