BeiGene Director, Corporate Finance, Financial Closing and Reporting in San Mateo, California

General Description:

The Corporate Finance Director, Financial Closing and Reporting, will be a key member of the Beigene Corporate Finance team. This role is responsible for leading the month / quarter / annual closing financial activities and reporting. Reporting directly to the Executive Director of Corporate Finance, the incumbent will collaborate with various functions, including Commercial, R&D, TechOps, and G&A. This position is based in the US. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a dynamic, unstructured environment, with a focus on enhancing the company's planning cycles. This includes redesigning robust financial planning processes, coordinating consolidation efforts, and delivering clear and concise plans to Beigene’ s senior management. This role requires engagement with strategic initiatives and a practical approach to improving Beigene's closing and reporting processes. The ideal candidate is proactive, self-motivated, organized, and results-oriented, with strong communication skills, a problem-solving mindset, and a sense of urgency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Corporate Finance team through month / quarter / annual financial closing and reporting.

  • Responsible for consolidating preliminary results and sharing with Financial Leadership team.

  • Establish and communicate the annual calendar for month / quarter / annual reporting.

  • Partner with the Beigene TM1/System team to manage systems throughout the month closing activities.

  • Present results to the Finance Leadership Team, with high-quality variance analysis.

  • Consolidate final presentations with clear storytelling, making concise and relevant analyses to enable Beigene leadership to make informed decisions.

  • Oversee the consolidation of Revenue, COGS, OPEX, and cash flow.

  • Handle ad-hoc projects as they arise, including assisting Beigene Corporate Finance in improving processes.

  • Manage a small team in the Corporate Finance team.

Education Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field is required.

  • MBA is desirable

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS/MBA with 10+ years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis.

  • Experience in the Pharmaceutical industry / biotech is required.

  • Corporate Finance experience is preferred.

  • Experience as a Finance business partner (Commercial, R&D, or G&A) is a plus Advanced user of TM1, Excel, PowerPoint, and Think Cell.

  • People management experience is required • Result-oriented with a clear can-do and problem-solving attitude, coupled with a clear sense of urgency Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), necessary for daily interaction with senior management.

  • Ability to deal with strategic topics while also having a hands-on approach.

  • Minimum travel required.
