Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated HR Generalist to join our team and support our mission-driven organization. The HR Generalist will play a key role in managing various HR functions to ensure the smooth operation of our organization and the well-being of our employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. **Recruitment and Onboarding:

    • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop job descriptions.

    • Source candidates through various channels and manage the recruitment process.

    • Conduct interviews and facilitate the onboarding process for new hires.

  2. Employee Relations:

    • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.

    • Address employee relations issues in a timely and effective manner, in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.

    • Promote a positive work environment and foster a culture of open communication and collaboration.

  3. HR Administration:

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files and HR databases.

    • Manage employee benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and inquiries.

    • Prepare and distribute HR-related documents, such as offer letters, contracts, and policies.

  4. Performance Management:

    • Support the performance management process by providing guidance to managers and employees.

    • Assist in conducting performance evaluations and facilitating feedback sessions.

    • Identify opportunities for employee development and training.

  5. Compliance and Legal:

    • Stay up-to-date on employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance.

    • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.

    • Coordinate with legal counsel as needed for HR-related matters.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as an HR Generalist or similar role, preferably in a non-profit or mission-driven organization.

  • Strong knowledge of HR practices and employment laws.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

  • Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
