BeiGene Manager, Project & Portfolio Systems & Reporting in San Mateo, California

General Description:

Manage and enhance the core tools & systems used for project and portfolio planning (i.e. project management systems, capacity & resource tools, portfolio management system) and ensure that customer needs are addressed.

Essential Functions of the job:

  • Assist in the implementation of project management tools and common R&D portfolio reporting capabilities.

  • Development of drug development portfolio visualizations using industry standard toolsets.

  • Work with partners in developing information standards and integrations between R&D systems.

  • Ensuring continuous improvement of the systems & processes that drive project and portfolio management including sharing of best practice and standardization across project teams and functions.

  • Develop data quality initiatives and reports to ensure R&D project management accuracy and assist data owners in information excellence initiatives and processes.

  • Collaborating with the PPM team in generating analyses of timeline, resource, and budget information that facilitates scenario planning, contingency planning, risk assessment and management, problem-solving, and decision-making across the portfolio.

Required Education:

  • BA/BS Degree required; BS in biological / computer science field or similar preferred.

Qualifications:

  • BS in biological field with a minimum of 5 plus years' overall expereince

  • 3 plus years’ experience in the drug development process within academia, pharmaceutical or biotech industry.

  • Experience using MS Project, Planisware or other leading project management software.

  • Experience developing visuals using visualization software (Tableau, PowerBI, Spotfire).

  • Experience in data transformations and database development (SQL Server, Azure, Oracle).

  • Thorough knowledge of drug development process and familiarity with pharmaceutical portfolio strategy development.

  • Proven ability to execute and perform autonomously in a fast-paced environment.

  • Fluent in written and verbal English.

  • Self-motivated and energetic.
