Description

We are in search of a diligent Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team based in San Ramon, California. In this role, you will be tasked with managing vendor files, processing check requests, and ensuring the accurate coding of invoices. This position offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity within the industry.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain vendor files, setting up vendors as necessary

• Take charge of high-volume invoice processing, ensuring invoices are prepared and coded accurately

• Handle check requests and prepare checks for mailing and distribution

• Maintain accurate customer credit records and manage open accounts payable

• Resolve payment discrepancies through thorough research and communication with business partners

• Keep track of utility bills, ensuring timely transfer or cutoff once a home closes

• Reconcile past-due unpaid invoices by reviewing received statements

• Meet all required weekly cutoffs, time schedules, and month-end deadlines

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an Accounts Payable Clerk role or similar position

• Proficiency in account reconciliation tasks

• Extensive knowledge and experience in Accounts Payable (AP)

• Familiarity with check runs and processing

• Experience in coding invoices efficiently

• Strong data entry skills with high accuracy

• Proficient in high volume invoice processing

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Strong numerical skills and financial acumen

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
