Senior Marketing Operations Manager

Reporting to the Director of Product Marketing / Senior Director of Digital Lifecycle Marketing, the Senior Marketing Operations Manager role will be integral in driving efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability within the digital lifecycle marketing team.

Responsibilities

  • Vision and Strategy Development: Build and execute a marketing operations vision and strategy within the digital lifecycle marketing team.

  • Process Optimization: Define, execute, and optimize operational processes for email, SMS, and push marketing, including project intake, capacity planning, and workflow optimization.

  • Business Requirements & Execution: Oversee marketing requirements, testing, and the timely execution of marketing journeys and automation around marketing infrastructure, including our marketing tech stack, system integrations, customer databases, in addition to, data analysis and performance measurement

  • Project Management: Develop and manage marketing operations processes from initiation to completion, including defining project scope, creating project plans, allocating resources, and tracking progress.

  • Team Management: Manage and lead a team to support the execution of marketing operations objectives

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and implement marketing modernization and process transformation opportunities across the marketing lifecycle team

  • Subject-Matter Expertise: Serve as the expert on marketing infrastructure, automation tools and operational processes.

  • Data Analysis and Reporting : Monitor and analyze marketing performance data. Provide insights and recommendations to optimize marketing operations and support decision-making.

  • Documentation: Document and implement best practices for data management, workflow automation, integration design, and reporting.

  • Vendor Management: Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and third-party service providers.

  • Performance Monitoring: Audit marketing tool capabilities, define key tools required for optimization, and align implementation roadmaps with stakeholders.

  • Operational Support: Provide operational support to the broader marketing function, ensuring seamless integration of marketing technology systems.

  • System Diagnosis: Partner with stakeholders to address marketing operational related system diagnosis, troubleshooting, and proactively ideate solutions and improvements areas

Qualifications

  • Experience: 7+ years in marketing operations with a proven track record of driving projects from start to finish, optimizing executional processes, and leveraging data for decision-making. B2B marketing ops experience, particularly in high-growth software companies, is required.

  • Technical Skills: Deep understanding of marketing automation platforms (Salesforce Marketing Cloud preferred), CRM systems (SFDC), analytical tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, DOMO), and other marketing and sales technologies.

  • Project Management: Strong background in project management with the ability to lead multiple workstreams and execute across functional teams.

  • Leadership: Strong leadership qualities, with a proven track record of building, managing, and motivating effective marketing operational teams that work together to achieve common goals. Ability to influence and guide technical teams outside of the marketing organization, ensuring marketing requirements are captured and implemented.

  • Strategy and Implementation : Ability to develop and build new functional and operational processes. Proven record of successful implementation of marketing operations strategies for global expansion.

  • Innovation : Innovative mindset with a growth mindset and proactive approach to problem-solving, and a strong disposition towards building new processes and ways of achieving better results.

  • Analytics: Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and strategies.

  • Interpersonal Skills : Excellent interpersonal and communication skills capable of effectively collaborating with and influencing stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership. Experience working with distributed teams and cross-functional technical partners.

  • B2B Expertise: Experience in B2B marketing operations, particularly for high-growth software companies, including building and managing teams.

  • Compliance Knowledge: Prior experience leading GDPR & CCPA compliance initiatives is a plus.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, IT Development, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

The typical annual salary range for this position is shown below and is negotiable depending upon experience and location. The position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.

$100,000.00 - $154,000.00
