ENTRUST Solutions Group Sr. Technical Lead in San Ramon, California

Entrust Solutions Group is looking for a Senior Technical Lead will serve as an engineering technical advisor to the Director. This individual will lead engineering disciplines in the Pacific District and ensure a trained and ready staff for project/program execution. This individual will support new project/program proposals and recommend engineer assignments. This individual performs engineering tasks on multiple projects and makes decisions and recommendations that are considered authoritative and have an important impact on engineering discipline design decisions. This position will be based out of the Bay Area preferred location is San Ramon, CA.

Responsibilities:

  • Applies sound and diversified knowledge of discipline engineering principles and practices in broad areas of project assignments.

  • Provides leadership to the engineering design teams as the technical design leader and leads the design team(s) on technical issues on medium and large complex projects.

  • Provides input to Project Managers and technical management concerning potential process and design.

  • Maintains a high level of technical expertise in one or more engineering disciplines by identifying individual training needs and scheduling appropriate training programs.

  • Initiates and maintains extensive contacts with key engineers and officials in other organizations to confirm that engineering practices applied are consistent with current engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and current technological innovations.

  • Leads training and development of other engineers to provide technical guidance and training related to engineering design and code compliance issues around engineering expertise.

  • Maintains, implements, and monitors a system of quality control consistent with ENTRUST’s policies and procedures.

  • Maintains a collaborative spirit in working with other technical leads, district and regional leaders, and other Business Units providing the most optimum engineering teams.

  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Registration as a Professional Engineer – CA registration a plus

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from ABET accredited university

  • 12+ years of relevant work experience

  • Working knowledge of P&ID

  • In-depth knowledge of HAC and be able to develop a HAC designation

  • Must understand grounding and how to layout grounding at a site

  • Working ability to develop one line and three line diagrams and electrical schematics

  • Ability to layout raceways, wireways, conduit, duct banks and cable trays

  • Working knowledge of Transformers, MCC and Switchgears

  • Industrial design experience and knowledge of electrical equipment

  • Ability to perform Load flow, short circuit and understand motor starting concept

  • Thorough knowledge of protective relays

  • Experience developing technical specifications for equipment

  • Working knowledge of NEC

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of ETAP, SKM software for Arc Flash studies is a plus

Benefits & Salary:

  • This position pays between $135,000 and $175,000 annually and is an exempt position.

  • Benefits offered include company sponsored medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plan with company match. Also offered are tuition reimbursement, voluntary life, disability, critical illness, accident and hospitalization plans. HSA or FSA medical accounts and FSA dependent care and transportation/parking accounts are also available. These benefits are subject to employee contribution amounts generally set annually.

  • Full time employees are eligible to earn PTO hours.

  • May be eligible for discretionary bonus as determined by the company.
