  • Manages multiple network resources.  Responsible for installation and maintenance of workstation and network hardware and software. 

  • Generates and maintains appropriate documentation, and tracks and reports progress on all active projects.

  • Makes modifications to network resources to optimize utilization and efficiency at the direction of the Senior Network Analyst.

  • Evaluates, recommends, installs, tests, and manages new network products. 

  • Evaluates network resources to determine their ability to support new applications and continued growth of existing applications. 

  • Recommends solutions to proactively address looming capacity and/or performance-related problems.

  • Establishes and maintains security privileges for accessing resources. 

  • Monitors network security and analyzes network security issues. 

  • Independently and proactively responds to any network security breach. 

  • Independently monitors and maintains network-related components; troubleshoots network-related problems; recommends and implements solutions; manages user expectations and cultivates feedback for network enhancements; monitors licensing and distribution of software; maintains asset records. 

  • Provides Level-2 Service Desk support to Service Desk staff and system users.

  • Provides technical assistance, training, and ongoing support to fellow Information Services staff, and users of the network.

  • Establishes appropriate procedures for network utilization.

  •  Provides stand-by coverage as scheduled, and subject to call-in as needed.

  • Communicates ideas; understands and interprets other's ideas; demonstrates courtesy, consideration, and patience. 

  • Puts organizational goals ahead of personal goals; manages fluctuations in work and schedule requirements effectively; demonstrates initiative and cooperation.

  • Stay abreast of developments in the fields of Information Services and Healthcare, review job-related publications, and broaden knowledge of various tasks through orientation by others.

  • Participate in department performance improvement activities as assigned and attend required training.

  • Willing to carry a pager when on or off duty, work overtime and/or a non-standard work schedule, and perform other duties as required.

     

  • Bachelor’s degree in information services / computer science, or associate's degree in related field and 2 or more years of equivalent career experience in a networked environment with specific focus on Microsoft platforms, or 4 or more years of the listed career experience. 

  • Microsoft or Cisco certification is preferred.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of various aspects of networking and communications, server and workstation support, and security.

  • Demonstrates ability to design, install, manage, and maintain a Microsoft network.

  •  Demonstrates knowledge of multiple computer systems, data storage and reporting methods, software utilities and tools, and principles of information management.

  • Demonstrates ability to grasp new and technical concepts quickly and stay current with technology.

  • Demonstrates analytical abilities, creativity, and attentiveness to detail.

  • Demonstrates initiative and the ability to work independently in a stressful environment. 

  • Result oriented, with strong leadership skills.

  • Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral form. 

  • Demonstrates ability and willingness to generate and maintain necessary documentation.

  •  Demonstrates willingness to make themselves available to be contacted during non-working hours, work extended hours and/or a non-standard work schedule.

  • Demonstrates ability to work in a safe and efficient manner and maintain an accident-free work place.

  • Demonstrates compliance with applicable OSHA regulations and CDC standard and transmission-based precaution recommendations and the ability to utilize proper personal protective equipment. 

  • Must possess a valid State of Ohio motor vehicle operator's license and be insurable

  • Employee must provide proof of personal automobile liability insurance coverage upon request.

  • Successful completion of a one hundred eighty (180) day get‑acquainted period.

     

     

     

Physical Requirements: 

The physical requirements of this job include frequent sitting with occasional walking around, carrying light objects, grasping, and reaching for things, rare stooping/crouching, clarity of vision, speaking and listening ability.  The mental requirements of this job include general intelligence, motor coordination skills, coordination of hands, eyes and feet, verbal, and numerical intelligence.  The workplace environmental conditions are that of a temperature controlled and clean office setting.  Occasional driving to other office or customer locations.  

Regular attendance and punctuality are an essential job function of this position.  In addition, the duties of this job need to be performed inside of our offices (unless authorized due to extraordinary circumstances by your manager and Human Resources) for the purpose of interaction and collaboration with colleagues and/or clients as necessary, the ability to adequately supervise the associate, and/or the availability of necessary equipment utilized for regular job functions.
