Job Summary:

The Data Engineering Manager will lead the data engineering team within the supply chain department, driving the development and maintenance of scalable data solutions that support supply chain optimization. This role requires a strategic leader with a deep understanding of data architecture, analytics, and supply chain processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the data engineering team, setting goals and guiding project priorities and timelines.

  • Develop and implement data strategies that align with supply chain objectives and company goals.

  • Foster collaboration between data engineers, data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure data solutions meet business needs.

  • Lead the design and maintenance of scalable and reliable data pipelines and architectures.

  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.

  • Ensure data governance and compliance with industry standards and company policies.

  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance data capabilities and performance.

  • Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 5+ years experience in data engineering, with a proven track record of leading a team.

  • 3+ years leadership experience, and managing direct reports.

  • Expertise in SQL, Python, and other relevant data engineering languages and tools.

  • Strong knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark).

  • Experience with machine learning frameworks and data visualization tools is a plus.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to translate complex data concepts into actionable business insights.

Preferred Skills:

  • Prior experience in supply chain management or logistics.

  • Familiarity with AI and machine learning applications in supply chain optimization.

  • Strong understanding of data governance and compliance requirements.
