Reports to: Sr. Director, Pricing Strategy

Job Summary:

The Manager, Price Strategy at Newell Brands is part of the team developing and implementing pricing strategies that align with the company's corporate strategy. The ideal candidate should have a background in Revenue Growth Management and pricing strategy, and strong experience in the development of fact-based insights using syndicated, customer and internal data sources.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop the analytics & tools required to understand the marketplace & competitor set pricing strategies. Identify & communicate changes in industry trends & competitive strategies that create opportunities & threats to the company’s results

  • Develop and maintain pricing models and other analytical solutions to support pricing decisions and market understanding.

  • Monitor, analyze and generate insights into pricing trends to identify opportunities for improvement in Newell’s revenue performance.

  • Conduct competitive benchmarking and communicate findings, insights, and recommendations for actions for brand teams, senior management and other stakeholders

  • Play an active role in conducting Customer Willingess to Pay Conjoint Studies

  • Act as the expert in syndicated, customer & internal data sources for the price strategy team – constantly pushing to enhance the value of the insights provided

  • Enable cross-functional partners to leverage marketplace insights to develop winning price recommendations

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key partners to ensure pricing strategies are informed by a broad set of insights (consumer to marketplace & internal financial results)

  • Advocate for RGM (revenue growth management) aligned ways of working and influence others to adopt best practice to support the development of a strong end to end RGM capability at Newell

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in revenue growth management, pricing strategy or marketplace/ competitive intelligence insights preferably in the consumer goods industry.

  • Strong analytical, modeling and analysis skills preferably with experience working with syndicated and customer data to understand the marketplace performance & competitive activity, and experience with modeling pricing impacts.

  • Strong insights development skills, including the ability to visualize data to easy interpretation by non-experts

  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills – able to make the complex simple

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
