Sutter Health Maintenance Technician in Santa Barbara, California

Position Overview:
Performs a variety of journeyman level general, mechanical and preventative maintenance duties as well as inspections, servicing, repair and overhaul of equipment, facilities and Hospital vehicles; performs security surveillance of Hospital facilities.

EDUCATION
Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience
Trade school graduate preferred, such as carpentry, electrical, refrigeration/air conditioning.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:
- Demonstrates competence as a Maintenance Technician in a hospital setting or similar setting.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Extensive knowledge of industrial electricity, boiler operations, mechanical systems and air conditioning and refrigeration.
Experience in trades related to general carpentry, commercial painting, electricity, plumbing, boiler operations, refrigeration and air conditioning desirable.

Pay Range is $24.15 to $33.81 / hour
The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
