We are looking for a Director of External Reporting to join our Finance leadership team.

Based in our Santa Clara, California headquarters, this role will report to the Vice President of Accounting and lead financial reporting and stock-based compensation accounting. This position will engage with Investor Relations on analyst presentations, Treasury on financing initiatives, and Corporate Finance on forecasting scenarios. Key to success will be your ability to partner effectively with the company’s Accounting, Treasury, Finance, Legal, Investor Relations, External Audit and HR-Compensation teams to produce industry leading accounting, reporting and operational excellence.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Lead the external reporting team and oversee the drafting, review and filing of all SEC reports including form 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K and other regulatory filings.

• Ensure compliance with SEC reporting requirements. Monitor changes in SEC regulations and assess impact on the company’s financial statements.

• Stay current on SEC comment letter trends and peer company benchmarking.

• Coordinate with senior leaders to produce our earnings documents including drafting the most complex or unique matters in a simple, easy, and understandable way.

• Oversee stock-based compensation accounting and forecasting.

• Process owner for the global consolidated audit to resolve issues and avoid delays while keeping all collaborators informed.

What we need to see:

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Finance/Accounting with active CPA license

• 12+ years experience including time within a Big 4 and a global Fortune 500 company, preferably within the high tech industry

• Well versed in SEC reporting requirements

• 5+ years of experience leading a team

• A desire to excel as a leader and mentor, who disseminates knowledge and inspires others to learn

• Superb written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

• Lead external reporting at a Fortune 200 company

• Big 4 National Office SEC reporting experience is a plus

• Strong background of establishing relationships with cross-functional business partners

• Passion for external reporting and continuous improvement of systems and processes

The base salary range is 200,000 USD - 333,500 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
