Nvidia Engineering Manager, Robotics and ML Applications in Santa Clara, California

We are looking for a Robotics Engineer Manager for Isaac Robotics & ML Applications technology for Autonomous Mobile Robots. Autonomous mobile robots are becoming more ubiquitous in real-world applications. Today, robots are expected to handle increasingly sophisticated tasks in a wide range of environments, from industrial facilities to public spaces. NVIDIA is a pioneer in revolutionizing AI & Robotics, and we are seeking an experienced and accomplished full stack robotics lead for our Isaac Robotics & ML applications team. The team plays a pivotal role in advancing the capabilities of mobile robots, enabling them to complete sophisticated tasks across diverse environments using ground breaking machine learning solutions.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Define the roadmap for the building reference Robotics & ML applications, utilizing Isaac technology, and showcasing production-grade world-class solutions to customers and platform partners.

  • Define deliveries and work packages, and help synchronize the missions and dependencies across the other teams.

  • Drive the architectural decisions and designs to reference applications, and support the development of the component products used in the applications.

  • Collaborate & support other Isaac teams e.g. Sim, Platform and SQA to deploy, validate, and extend the capabilities & applications on physical robots and cloud as well as on at-scale simulations

  • Supervise and support the team on design and code reviews (C++, Python, Pytorch and NVIDIA TAO toolkit).

  • Mentor and supervise a team of robotics SW engineers

What we need to see:

  • MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering or relevant field for robotics, or equivalent experience

  • 8+ overall years of industry experience

  • 4+ years of experience managing and leading teams

  • At least 5 years of relevant proven full stack robotics experience

  • Hands-on experience with real-time autonomous system project (robotics, autonomous driving etc)

  • Experience in architecting and deploying innovative and capable robotics and machine learning based applications in embedded platforms and cloud services.

  • Experience with managing projects and teams of similar nature and challenge

  • Excellent communication, analysis and problem solving skills

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Prior experience with techniques in integration of robotics and ML technologies, on edge and cloud platforms.

  • Prior experience shipping autonomous robots products.

The base salary range is 220,000 USD - 419,750 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
