We are looking for an outstanding software engineer for an exciting role in the Autonomous Vehicle Platform team who is a strong technical developer, someone with a strong background in C++ development, and a thorough understanding of applications which uses computer vision, image processing, and video algorithms. You will work closely with internal drive platform software/hardware engineering teams and external partners to develop and deliver extraordinary features to the current and next-generation of autonomy.

What you'll be doing:

  • Work alongside brilliant engineers on core technologies, and implement and optimize system software to enable real-time AI applications using NVIDIA GPUs.

  • Realize complex compute algorithms running in a constrained environment such as an automotive embedded system based on NVIDIA's Tegra SOC.

  • Drive features through the product cycle - from proof-of-concept to production.

  • Together we will collaborate and connect with multiple teams in our company.

What we need to see:

  • BS/MS/PhD degree in Computer Science/EE or related or equivalent experience

  • 8+ years of engineering experiences in developing applications on embedded devices

  • Excellent C/C++ programming skills.

  • Strong SW architecture skills; experience in designing performant embedded systems leveraging SW/HW expertise

  • Strong system software development and system debug skills

  • Highly motivated, with strong analytical and interpersonal skills

  • Familiarity with the V&V process for automotive SW development

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Familiarity with ISO26262 or a similar development process. Experience with automotive safety and security processes.

  • Background in Graphics, Camera, and Multimedia pipelines

  • Experience with CUDA, OpenGL, Vulcan.

  • Experience with video compression and real-time video streaming

  • Understanding of image processing and computer vision algorithms

The base salary range is 180,000 USD - 339,250 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
