Your Career

In this Santa Clara HQ-based role, you will be responsible for managing Palo Alto Networks' wireless network infrastructure across our enterprise. We are seeking individuals with a proactive and innovative mindset to drive improvements, automation, and unconventional approaches. Collaborating with a team of seasoned network engineers, you will lead projects aimed at designing, implementing, and maintaining our global wireless network infrastructure. Our IT environment is dynamic, fast-paced, and unpredictable, requiring analytical, agile, and influential leaders who can swiftly deliver impactful results and adapt to evolving business demands and priorities. Your Impact

  • Design, implement, and enhance wireless network architectures, ensuring security, performance, and scalability

  • Integrate wireless solutions with broader network infrastructure and lead initiatives to improve performance and security

  • Define and enforce wireless security controls, implementing advanced features like secure access and encryption

  • Collaborate with IT security and network software teams to automate management, mitigate risks, and drive innovation

  • Lead multi-quarter wireless network projects, from design through implementation and maintenance

  • Mentor and lead the network engineering team, fostering knowledge-sharing and technical growth

  • Resolve wireless network incidents, ensuring timely communication with stakeholders and collaboration with the incident management team

Your Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in fast-paced networking environments, specializing in wireless network design and implementation

  • Extensive knowledge of wireless technologies and protocols, including Wi-Fi 6, 802.11ax/ac/n, and RF design principles

  • Expertise in wireless security controls and best practices, ideally with Palo Alto Networks platforms

  • Proven ability to lead large-scale wireless network projects from conception to completion

  • Experience with CI/CD for configuration automation is a plus

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, adept at resolving complex operational issues

  • Familiarity with backbone network infrastructure (routing & switching) and its integration with wireless networks

  • Experience with Routing and Switching from vendors like Arista or Juniper

  • Wireless experience with Aruba and Integration with ClearPass is a plus

Compensation Disclosure

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/com-missioned roles) is expected to be between $109,900/yr to $178,200/yr.
