Job Overview:

A well-established company in Santa Clara is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant II to join their finance team. This position will focus on handling a variety of accounting functions such as financial reporting, account analysis, and reconciliation. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting with a proven ability to perform at a higher level of responsibility and autonomy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

• Perform detailed account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.

• Assist with the month-end and year-end closing process.

• Prepare journal entries and ensure the accuracy of general ledger entries.

• Assist in preparing tax filings and regulatory reports.

• Review and process expense reports and other financial transactions.

• Collaborate with auditors during external and internal audits.

• Provide analysis and reporting for management to support decision-making.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in accounting, with a strong understanding of general ledger and financial reporting.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or similar systems).

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.).

• Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
