Accounting Manager

We have a rewarding opportunity for an Accounting Manager at our world class facility in Santa Clarita, CA!

As our Accounting Manager you will be responsible for all segments of the general accounting function. You will manage the development, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's general ledger and accounting records of the organization. You will design and maintain operational procedures and processes that meet audit standards and improve efficiency to ensure that the system of internal and accounting controls is in place and operating effectively. It will be your responsibility to ensure integrity of data produced into systems and supports objectives of the Business Units and Divisions. As well as ensure the accurate compilation, analysis and reporting of accounting data and other financial results. Participates in annual audits and special projects.

Location: Santa Clarita, CA

Salary Range : $ 120,700.00 - 160,800.00 per year

Your Challenge:

  • Maintains general and subsidiary ledgers preparing operating and financial statements, reconciling bank statements, and currency conversion as needed. (20%)

  • Assists in the development of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to financial management, budget, accounting, and/or payroll. (20%)

  • Directs fixed asset control and depreciation, accrual to meet anticipated liabilities, preparation of general tax reports such as those for sales, payroll, and personal property taxes, and payable/receivables. (20%)

  • Ensures that business activities within the area of responsibility comply with relevant external regulatory and/or voluntary codes and with internal policies and procedures to minimize business risk and to protect the reputation of the organization. (20%)

  • Establishes system controls for new financial systems and develops procedures to improve existing systems. Assists with the installation and maintenance of new accounting, timekeeping, payroll, inventory, property, and other related procedures and controls. Coordinates preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting. (20%)

What You Bring:

  • Experience in identifying and resolving complex accounting issues and discrepancies.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects, ensuring deadlines are met.

  • Deep understanding of relevant accounting regulations, compliance requirements, and internal controls.

  • Proven ability to manage, develop and mentor a team of accountants.
