Job Title: Traveling State Certified Journeyman Electrician

Job Description

A solar journeyman electrician installs, maintains, and repairs solar panels and related equipment. Responsibilities include:

  • Installation : Planning and installing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures

  • Connection : Connecting solar panels, inverters, and other high-voltage equipment to the building's power supply

  • Maintenance : Performing maintenance checks and troubleshooting system problems

  • Repair : Repairing or replacing PV-related wiring, equipment, and fixtures

  • Testing : Testing PV electrical systems and continuity of circuits

  • Compliance : Ensuring compliance with local and national electrical codes

  • This position requires travel 80-100% of the time. Work will be scattered throughout California, you must be comfortable traveling and being in a hotel Monday-Friday on the road.

Some other skills and qualities that may be useful for a solar journeyman electrician include:

  • Being able to lift 50 lbs

  • Being comfortable on a ladder

  • Having a strong work ethic and attention to detail

  • Enjoying working outside in all weather conditions

  • Being reliable and having good transportation

  • Maintaining a professional attitude and appearance

Essential Skills

  • Experience with solar installations

  • State Certified Journeyman License - REQUIRED

  • Reliable transportation for commuting to different jobsites.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous solar experience is preferred but not required

  • Mechanical technician skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00
