Join our dynamic team as a Creative CAD Manager at Amazon Private Brands, where you'll lead the coordination of print development across women's, men's, kids', baby textiles, and home goods. Our Private Brands offer customers outstanding quality at great prices, and we are looking for an exceptionally talented, bright, and driven leader to develop dynamic and exciting prints & patterns that will help customers discover and enjoy our Private Brands products.

The ideal candidate can work smart, quickly discern the needs of the business, and respond to creative direction with fresh ideas and strategic design systems. They professionally present their work, with enthusiasm for both inspired creative and logical thinking. They have experience managing a team of full-time or contract print designers and working with third-party licenses across multiple product categories. They understand the complexities and creative implications of digital global brands. The ideal candidate can manage and coordinate workflow across talents and within multiple project timelines, have a high taste level and creative vision to effectively translate seasonal concepts into bar-raising creative artworks that are true to our varying private brands' DNA. They have experience thoughtfully assorting artworks into seasonal design line plans and are a problem solver with a strong bias for action, as well as being tech-savvy and able to collaborate across diverse digital platforms.

Key job responsibilities

• Drive and execute Amazon Private Brands' global CAD design initiatives.

• Support end-to-end print & pattern development.

• Coordinate a team of CAD designers (full-time or contractors): manage calendars, budgets, and work allocation.

• Optimize processes and tools to enable speed, effective cross-functional collaboration, and continuously seek opportunities to positively impact the Design organization and the company as a whole.

• Partner with print technicians to anticipate potential manufacturing and costing issues before developing any prints, ensuring quality execution at scale.

• Gather relevant data and information to inform design development. Clearly communicate our design strategy to leadership and cross-functional teams. Build strong working relationships and collaborate effectively across teams and with our third-party partners.

• Review all artworks to ensure they meet our intellectual property policies.

• Raise the bar by continuously searching for new printing techniques and embellishments.

• Research and report on seasonal print trends.

• Ensure all artworks are tracked and archived following our CAD guidelines.

• Help build seasonal presentations and present print collections during leadership meetings.

A day in the life

As a Sr Creative CAD Manager, each day brings exciting opportunities to shape our design collections. You'll kick off by evaluating project priorities and the calendar, assigning print briefs with detailed color, handstyle direction, and product allocation to our talented print contractors. Collaboration is key as you work closely with passionate product developers and designers, ensuring our artwork meets all technical and cost requirements. You'll attend business and strategic meetings, and audit ourtools and processes for continuous improvement. Your role is pivotal in coordinating the project roadmap with your manager and cross-functional partners, driving the creation of beloved, trusted products worldwide

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Textile Design, Fashion Design, or a related field.

Technical Skills:

• Expert in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat

• Proficient in Nedgraphics or Aquario

• Experience with online collaborative platforms, such as Miro, to facilitate remote teamwork.

• Experience with 3D CAD software preferred, i.e. CLO

• Understanding of textile materials, production techniques, and industry standards.

• High taste level and knowledge of color theory.

Experience:

• Minimum of 8+ years of experience in textile design or CAD-related roles.

• Hands-on experience creating textile designs, patterns, and color specifications using CAD.

• Understanding of the textile product development process.

Management Skills:

• Strong leadership and team management abilities.

• Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

• Problem-solving and decision-making skills to optimize the CAD design process.

• Project management skills to ensure timely and on-budget delivery of textile designs.

• Performs effectively in ambiguous situations.

Preferred Qualifications

Industry Knowledge:

• Familiarity with current trends, technologies, and best practices in the textile industry.

• Understanding of the competitive landscape and market demands.

• Awareness of sustainable textile production, environmental regulations, and product safety compliance.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $210,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
