Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist for a full-time contract position at our dermatology practice in Santa Monica. You will be the first point of contact for all our patients and will play an essential role in creating a welcoming and professional environment.

Responsibilities:

• Greet patients upon arrival, check them in/out, and maintain a friendly and professional demeanor.

• Coordinate and schedule appointments, manage calendar conflicts, and handle rescheduling needs.

• Answer phone calls and respond to questions concerning appointments, treatments, and other inquiries.

• Maintain up-to-date patient records and ensure the privacy and confidentiality of patient information adhering to HIPAA regulations.

• Collect payment for services and process insurance claims.

• Keep the waiting area clean, comfortable, and organized.

• Assist with tasks and administrative duties as needed.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Previous experience in a medical front desk position, preferably in a dermatology setting.

• Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• A responsible and empathetic attitude toward patients.

• Basic understanding of medical terminologies.

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
