Are you an Accountant who boasts an aptitude for adaptability? Then this Senior Accountant position is for you. This is an immediate Senior Accountant position, so apply as soon as possible! This short-term contract / contract employment opportunity is based in the Sarasota, Florida area.

How you will make an impact

• Carry out monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP

• Create analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)

• Put together monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

• An endless desire to improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

• Achieve compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures and controls by working with business partners

• Arrange quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

• Ad-hoc projects as necessary

• Take part in various department-wide initiatives

• Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations

  Requirements - Sage Intacct experience

  • Strong familiarity with Healthcare consulting

  • Excel Formulas experience preferred

  • Competence with financial data analysis and report generation that is prompt and accurate

  • 10+ years of overall general accounting experience

  • Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision

  • Highly organized and self-motivated

  • BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are highly desired

  • Critical thinking skills and the ability to retain complex work directions

  • Great attention to detail

  • Demonstrated skills in interacting effectively, both verbally and in writing, with functional managers

  • SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience

  • Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
