Direct Support Professional III- House Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE:
The House Manager oversees the health, safety, and well-being of individuals in a residential setting while ensuring the smooth operation of the home. They provide leadership by supervising staff, facilitating their training, and managing their performance to ensure high-quality care. The role includes developing and maintaining positive relationships with staff, families, and community partners, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. The House Manager ensures all policies, including those related to the rights of individuals, are followed and addresses any issues or concerns. They manage daily operations, including household tasks, budget oversight, and medical appointments, while promoting independence among the individuals we support.
In addition, the House Manager ensures compliance with safety regulations, including fire safety drills, and maintains a clean, welcoming home environment. They provide guidance and support to staff through regular meetings, staff evaluations, and problem-solving. Additionally, the House Manager participates in on-call duties and acts as a liaison between families, guardians, and other service providers.
Schedule/Hours
Full Time: 40 Hrs
Must be able to work flexible schedules to include some Evening/Overnight/Weekend availability

Qualifications
Associate's degree in human services related field AND 1-2 years' experience working in Intellectual/Developmental Disability OR
High school diploma/GED AND 3-5 years' experience working in Intellectual/Developmental Disability
1 year experience as a Residence Manager
Specialized training may be substituted for 1 year.
Valid NYS Driver's License with Clean Record
PAY & PERKS:
Pay Rate: $20.00/hr
Mileage Reimbursement
$1,000 New Hire Sign On Bonus within first year
