Robert Half Customer Service Representative in Savage, Minnesota

Description

Robert Half has a great opportunity for an articulate, professional Customer Service Representative for a large client located in the South Metro. This position is in a call center and does require an intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel. The ideal candidate will be able to take anywhere from 60 - 80 inbound calls daily and provide thoughtful and articulate answers to their clients. You will need to maintain solid customer relationships by handling their questions and concerns with speed and professionalism. Additional responsibilities of the Customer Service Representative position include:

  • Handle 60-80 inbound calls daily from independent distributors, providing top-notch customer service, processing payments, and answering questions regarding product part numbers.

  • Validate and accurately enter orders received via phone, fax, and email with careful attention to detail.

  • Collaborate with warehouse supervisor to resolve any issues related to orders.

  • Track shipments and communicate with carriers to resolve any issues that may arise.

  • Invoicing orders and communicating with customers after their orders have been dispatched.

  • Learn and master the procedure of entering customer returns and releasing orders to the warehouse.

  • Communicate shipment details and tracking numbers to customers.

  • Data entry for carrier invoicing, including completion of Excel spreadsheets.

    Requirements

Requirements of the position:

  • 1-3 years of customer service or inbound sales call center experience required.

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

  • Strong detail-oriented skills to accurately enter orders.

  • Ability to handle customer frustrations with patience and diplomacy.

  • Ability to quickly adapt to new tasks and handle a high-volume workload.

  • Experience processing payments over the phone preferred.
