Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Info Tech, Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant curriculum required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job or equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 8 years experience in IT related field with 2 years of SharePoint / Exchange / Teams / Azure. Other CCNA and MCP certification preferred.

Position Purpose:

The Cloud Services Engineer will serve the vital lead role in automating and driving implementation of cloud solutions, and lead key critical components of the ramp up of cloud services. The qualified candidate is expected to have deep technical knowledge of automating cloud services, which has been developed from previous experience in deploying such solutions in production environments.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

  • Expert knowledge of the Microsoft 365 tenant, Azure, Exchange, Teams, and SharePoint .

  • A clear understanding of the Cloud Services deployment model .

  • Implement Cloud solutions and supporting various stages of deployments and testing processes .

  • Have general cloud ops knowledge with at least one provider, private or public, such as attached volume lifecycle, auto scaling, cloud-config, security, instance lifecycle, etc .

Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:

  • Experience working on or leading teams performing systems automation and integration (ideally leveraging an agile methodology / lean techniques).

  • Competence in using scripting + programming languages to automate frequently executed activities.

  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft 365 tenant, Exchange, Teams, and SharePoint.

  • Experience with production systems and dealing with production issues.

  • A clear understanding of cloud service and deployment model.

  • Responsible for architecting, implementing, and maintaining automation tools to reduce time and complexity of operations and development tasks.

  • Collaborate with others to troubleshoot and resolve escalated production issues.

  • Establish and consult on best practices and standard operating procedures for development, deployment, support, break-fix, and systems management.

  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to maximize MS 365 functionality and user experience.

  • Deploy and support automation systems and tooling in a 24x7 production environment.

  • Assess usage and utilization trends to make appropriate design and implementation recommendations towards scaling our architecture.

  • Takes responsibility for tasks related to the management and deployment of systems, methodologies, standards and processes that support the Cloud Services platform.

  • Scripting Proficiency in PowerShell.
