Description We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team in the construction industry in Savannah, Georgia. As part of your role, you will be expected to handle tasks related to customer accounts, general ledger, and bank reconciliations. You will also be responsible for Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

Responsibilities

• Handle and process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.

• Maintain precise records of customer credit.

• Take charge of monitoring customer accounts and perform appropriate actions when needed.

• Oversee the general ledger and ensure its accuracy.

• Ensure timely and accurate completion of bank reconciliations.

• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions.

• Record and post journal entries as required.

• Assist in the month-end close process.

• Utilize various accounting software like NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to streamline processes. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role within the construction/contractor industry

• Proficient in accounting software, including NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting

• Proficient in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations

• Familiarity with General Ledger operations and Journal Entries

• Ability to perform Month End Close procedures

• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Professional certification such as CPA is a plus.
