Actalent Staff Environmental Engineer in Savannah, Georgia

Job Title: Staff Environmental EngineerJob Description

Seeking a proactive and experienced Environmental Engineer (EIT or PE) to manage site investigation and remedial efforts for various facilities under Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD) regulatory programs such as USTMP, Brownfield, VRP, etc. The ideal candidate will have experience in UST remediation system design and implementation. Responsibilities include providing engineering and consulting services for diverse environmental projects, performing and leading site investigations, engineering analysis, and design development. You will also prepare permit applications, risk assessments, and technical documentation, ensuring compliance with all regulations.

Hard Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field

  • 1-3 years of experience as a civil or environmental engineer

  • Experience with site investigations and remediation under Georgia EPD regulatory programs

  • UST remediation system design and implementation

  • EIT certification or related experience

Soft Skills

  • Ability to communicate complex engineering issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Savannah, Georgia.

Work Environment

Office-based from Monday to Friday, 8 am - 5 pm with potential overtime. Initial 6-month contract with eligibility for overtime and potential transition to a salaried position. The role involves occasional onsite visits for sample collection and client meetings.
