We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in SCHAUMBURG, Illinois. This role will require you to undertake a variety of tasks related to the accounting department of our company. The job function encompasses a wide range of responsibilities including managing accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end close procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the processing of accounts payable and receivable to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

• Perform bank reconciliations to keep track of company spending.

• Execute month-end close procedures and ensure all financial data has been recorded accurately.

• Use SAP software for various accounting tasks and procedures.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.

• Collaborate with other team members to ensure all financial operations are running smoothly.

• Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to the accounting functions.

• Assist in the preparation of financial reports for senior management.

• Stay informed on the latest industry trends and changes in regulations.

• Continuously strive to improve and streamline accounting operations and procedures.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in Bank Reconciliations

• Ability to handle Month End Close processes

• Knowledge and experience in using SAP software

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills

• Attention to detail and accuracy in work

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
