Minimum Qualifications One year of experience in the operation and / or maintenance of a park, historic site, golf course, or recreational facility. In addition to operations and maintenance, the following types of experience are also qualifying: law enforcement or security, firefighting, environmental education, environmental stewardship, natural resource management, forest management, wildlife management or preservation, or historic preservation or interpretation; OROne year of military service in any of the military branches; ORAn Associate’s or higher-level degree, or 60 credit hours of college level coursework; OR Completion of an appropriate two-year technical / trades school program or two years' experience as a trade’s assistant under the supervision of a skilled tradesperson.If verifiable, we will accept and prorate appropriate part-time and volunteer experience.Your degree must have been awarded by a college or university accredited by a regional, national, or specialized agency recognized as an accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education/U.S. Secretary of Education. If your degree was awarded by an educational institution outside the United States or its territories, you must provide independent verification of equivalency. Duties Description Under the direction of the Park Manager, the selected candidate will be responsible for:• Overseeing all operational needs of the Park office• Reconciling purchases, SFS and NPS budget tracker entries, banking deposits, attendance and revenue (PORTS) entries, ASPIRA Refunds, including completion of FIN123 and supporting documentation as needed • Preparing payroll and hiring packets • Training new staff, schedule and assign work, providing clear directions and guidelines • Providing coverage of the front desk as necessary, including managing phones, checking in campers, sales, and other tasks related to customer service• Responding to and works with community groups and organizations regarding facility use requests, completing Special Use and Special Event Permits. Works with the regional permit coordinator in seeking proper approval for events requiring permits. • Promptly notifying the Park Manager and/or Maintenance staff to report issues or concerns. • Organizing Park Events, including the Fall Festival and Lights in Our Park, community outreach, permit processing, logistics, staffing, etc. • Assisting in other areas of site operations as required.

Additional Comments OPERATING NEEDS:• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license that allows the candidate to legally operate a motor vehicle in New York State as a term and condition of employment.• Must possess Hazardous Tree assessment certification or be able to obtain certification within the probationary period.• Must have attended or be willing to attend the Facility Manager’s Institute at the next available opportunity.• Must be proficient with MS Outlook, Word and Excel.
