is searching for a Payroll/Payroll Tax processor. Based in Skippack, PA, this role is responsible for the weekly processing and documentation of payroll and Payroll tax processing. The ideal candidate is comfortable with and able to maintain confidentiality, professional, motivated, learns quickly, and pays close attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • * Perform all work according to OSHA, MSHA, and H&K Safety policies Payroll.
  • * Compiles payroll data such as hours worked, taxes, insurance, and union dues to be withheld, and employee identification numbers from time sheets and other records and enters data into computer files
  • * Reviews wages computed and corrects errors to ensure accuracy of payroll
  • * Records changes affecting net wages such as exemptions for each employee to update master payroll records
  • * Records data concerning transfer of employees between departments
  • * Prepares periodic unemployment reports and employment verification forms
  • * Keeps records of leave, vacation pay, and nontaxable wages
  • * Prepares and issues paychecks
  • * Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Skills, Education, and Experience

    • High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution OR five years of related experience and/or training
    • - A combination of education and experience may be considered
  • * Related experience and/or training in payroll
  • * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook)
  • * Demonstrated professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • * Demonstrated attention to detail and timeliness of deadlines
  • * Demonstrated interpersonal skills when communicating with subcontractor representatives, customers, co-workers, ownership, and/or incoming telephone calls
  • * Demonstrated use of time efficiently & remains flexible with frequent changes, delays, unexpected events, and/or changes in priority as well as many project-specific details
  • * Demonstrated accuracy and thoroughness; monitors own work to ensure quality
  • * Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
  • * Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)
