GDIT is seeking a Lead Test Engineer that is well skilled in performing product testing, operational simulation testing, stress testing, performance testing, and user verification testing to demonstrate compliance with applicable financial auditability requirements.

HOW THE LEAD TEST ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

This role will directly support a contract for the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) customer. USTRANSCOM provides global transportation and logistics needs to the US military, defense agencies, and other Government organizations. This program will support the command’s financial and operational management and close any potential auditable gaps by transforming business processes and data integration into a single system to drive transportation, financial and logistical operations for approximately 30,000+ users.

Based on the number of integrated systems and active user-base, this will be a complex system that will consolidate the planning, shipping, tracking, payment military and federal agency personnel and materiel transportation needs. Solutions and capabilities will be continuously developed, and it is the Lead Test Engineer’s responsibility to ensure the releases are tested to meet the functionality and validity of its design. The speed, stability, and scalability are a few attributes the Lead Test Engineer will ensure that performance testing is accomplished satisfactorily. The Lead Test Engineer will work with the responsible Government authority to ensure each solution meets their user requirements and that each build is of high quality and delivered on schedule.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Lead Test Engineer will:

  • Prepare test scenarios demonstrating the various workflow processes and user experiences are successful.

  • Develop, review, and deliver test plans, procedures and reports covering the programs testing scope.

  • Ensure that the system performs satisfactorily by testing its speed scalability and reliability,

  • Ensuring that the design and configuration of the team’s solution meets the programs user requirements.

  • Develop, control, and maintain the test evaluation master plan.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related fields. Master’s degree preferred.

Required Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience leading testing teams or functions for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions for large, complex systems

  • Experience with DOD testing guidance, DODI 5000.89, Test and Evaluation

  • Experience with data collection and analysis

  • Experience supporting test activities including product testing (regression testing and new capability testing), operational scenarios, stress and longevity, interoperability, and security.

  • Familiarity or experience with SAP-relevant testing methods including integration, regression, performance, functional, user acceptance, security, and portal testing.

  • Proficient with various automated testing practices (e.g., SAP, Cloud Based Solutions)

  • Lead and manage a team of Test Engineers

  • Coordinate with key customer stakeholders/end users

Required certifications or background:

  • Must be US Citizen

  • CND, GSEC, Network+, Security+ or equivalent

  • Holds an active DoD Secret clearance or has the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with commercial and federal audit practices.

  • Able to represent GDIT in a professional manner and the possess the ability to work effectively during periods of heavy workload or pressure.

  • Holds one or more of the following certifications: CEH, CFR, Cloud+, SSCP, Pentest+, CCSP

  • Familiar with Federal Financial Management Improvement Act (FFMIA) and FISCAM requirements

  • Experience supporting testing activities to demonstrate compliance with application financial auditability requirements.

  • Familiarity/experience with ABAP Unit Testing Fundamentals

  • Knowledge of SAP Fiori

  • Familiarity of API Testing, SAP Risk-based Testing, SAPUI5/OPENUI Testing

  • Familiarity/experience with standard testing tools e.g., Selenium, Tricentis, JMeter etc.

  • Understand fundamental project management practices including scheduling, budgeting, and resource management. Experience working on programs with Agile or EVM frameworks.

  • Understand the design and operation on Zero Trust principles.

Security Clearance Level :

  • Holds an active Secret clearance or has the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
