Job Description:

GDIT is seeking a Training Specialist Expert that is well skilled in performing product testing, operational simulation testing, stress testing, performance testing, and user verification testing to demonstrate compliance with applicable financial auditability requirements.

HOW THE Training Specialist Expert WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

This role will directly support a contract for the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) customer. USTRANSCOM provides global transportation and logistics needs to the US military, defense agencies, and other Government organizations. This program will support the command’s financial and operational management and close any potential auditable gaps by transforming business processes and data integration into a single system to drive transportation, financial and logistical operations for approximately 30,000+ users.

Based on the number of integrated systems and active user-base, this will be a complex system that will consolidate the planning, shipping, tracking, payment military and federal agency personnel and materiel transportation needs. Solutions and capabilities will be continuously developed, and it is the Lead Test Engineer’s responsibility to ensure the releases are tested to meet the functionality and validity of its design. The speed, stability, and scalability are a few attributes the Lead Test Engineer will ensure that performance testing is accomplished satisfactorily. The Lead Test Engineer will work with the responsible Government authority to ensure each solution meets their user requirements and that each build is of high quality and delivered on schedule.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Training Specialist Expert:

  • Identifies training needs and priorities by working with business leaders and critical stakeholders.

  • Assists upper management in strategy and decision process.

  • Supervises training team consisting of cross-functional individuals with the skills necessary to define, build, test, and deliver value to the customer.

  • Acts as advisor to subordinates to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems.

  • Develops and administers schedule, performance requirements; may have budget responsibilities.

  • Provides one-on-one coaching to trainers to aid in the development of knowledge and skills needed.

  • Assists in developing annual training plans.

  • Assists with the implementation of training curriculum.

  • Leads developmental training sessions for trainers.

  • Leads and support special projects assigned.

  • Establishes metrics to indicate training impact and creates evaluation programs that measure effectiveness, updating approaches and curriculum as necessary.

  • Helps conduct assessments, analyze data, diagnose training inefficiencies, and conducts research information to help create solutions-oriented measures that will improve training programs.

Daily responsibilities:

The Training lead will:

  • Provide training schedule and key task inputs to program Integrated Master schedule.

  • Represent training at Technical Exchange Meetings

  • Provide inputs to Deployment Readiness Reviews specific to user training.

  • Develop, deliver, and implement a training plan to train approximately 36,000 system operators, produce training documentation, user guides, and job aids as required by the customer which includes training to the help desk to focus on particular problem areas. Training delivery may include a combination of online, web-based content, self-paced hands-on, in person delivery, and any other vendor-recommended solutions as needed.

  • Tailor training specific to organizational module and/or line of operation with the intent to standardize business processes based upon commercial best practices to include follow ups to ensure a complete understanding of the revised business processes.

  • Interface with affected organizations, both CONUS and OCONUS, to develop training requirements and plan for system users and the organization.

  • Conduct training assessments to attain a clear understanding of training needs specific to the organization. Using a mechanism to measure training effectiveness provide a remediation plan if effectiveness is below the expected key performance indicator.

Desired Skills and Certifications.

  • Master’s degree in related field

  • Project Management experience, PMP certification nice to have

  • Leading teams using Agile/SAFe methodology, certification in Leading SAFe or SAFe practitioner nice to have.

  • ATD Master Instructional Designer Certification

  • Experience with instructional design & development.

  • Experience with classroom instruction.

  • Experience establishing from scratch a comprehensive training/learning program.

Security Clearance Requirement:

Must have an active DoD Secret clearance
