Description

We are searching for an experienced, driven Network Administrator with extensive Fortinet Firewall experience to join our IT department in Scottsdale, AZ. As a Network Administrator, you’ll be responsible for maintaining our computing environment by identifying network requirements, installing improvements, and maintaining system upgrades. You’ll also monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot network performance to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Responsibilities:

• Develop plan for network modifications and expansion and administer and manage network operations to ensure security and integrity.

• Implement and maintain firewall, VPN, and security policies using Fortinet Firewall.

• Troubleshoot and solve network-related issues as they arise.

• Monitor the network for any irregularities or issues and provide reports on performance.

• Install and maintain routers, switches, modems, and other network hardware.

• Support end-user needs and communicate network status updates to non-technical colleagues and management.

• Keep network secure and running efficiently by staying current with the latest software, hardware, and cyber security measures.

• Update data servers and network equipment.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field required.

• A minimum of 3 years experience with Fortinet Firewall required.

• Certification as a Network Administrator or in Fortinet would be advantageous.

• Experience with VPNs, VLAN, and IP subnetting.

• Experience in applying and maintaining patch levels and security configurations.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Proven diagnostic, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
