Responsibilities Job Summary This position is responsible for developing and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships with all physicians, their practices, and referral streams within assigned geographic territory. Priorities will be driven by achieving hospital and service line growth targets and increasing physician satisfaction. This individual positively represents the health system, hospitals and care centers, clinical service lines and medical staff to referral sources with the intent to develop and strengthen referral source relationships that contribute to the organization's reputation and market position. Supports provider network, medical group, planning and operations to determine specific market needs and develops efforts to meet those needs including development and independent provider networks, identifying practice acquisition opportunities while establishing and participating in medical staff development plans. Develops, enhances, and maintains positive professional relationships with new and existing physicians. Cultivates relationships with physicians, their practice administrators, and key office personnel through physician office visits determined by a prioritized plan set by service line leaders and hospital administrators. Coordinates physician-to-physician events and other networking opportunities as directed by strategic service line directives. Collaborates with service line directors, hospital administrators, employed medical group, health systems planning, and medical staff services to support overall system business development and marketing strategies through coordinated approaches to physician alignment. . Educates physicians and their staff on key aspects network’s clinical expertise, programs, and services. Enters daily documentation in department software system on all physician oriented interactions for reporting purposes. Develop quarterly growth plans for physicians that consider, market share/referral patterns, patient utilization data and physician practice trends. Incorporate market intelligence pertinent to new opportunities and relationships. In collaboration with system, hospital, and medical group leadership, ensure plan objectives are in line with service lines targeted and ready for growth. Continuously adapt strategies and plans to ensure optimal outcomes and “win-win” results for physicians and encourage and support internal efforts to create a provider-centric culture. Work with the physician relations program leader and marketing team to develop targeted messages and marketing tools for the referral audience. Prepare reports, summarizing field activities, identifying trends, opportunities, and barriers to new referrals. Bring forward new business opportunities that are revealed through field interactions and facilitate response jointly agreed upon by internal stakeholders. Actively participates in development of growth expectations and participates in medical staff development plans. Leads facility participation in the recruitment process of medical development plans. Coordinates with the organization’s medical group to develop processes to ensure seamless handoffs with acquisitions, physician recruitment and on-boarding. Identifies data (including physician activity, satisfaction and healthcare trend statistics) to assist in the development of physician outreach strategies and serve as the primary resource to hospital leadership regarding the needs and perceptions of primary care physicians. Utilizes various marketing resources to maximize physician partnership opportunities. Creates and maintains CRM system for physician outreach that will track ROI. Seeks ongoing methods to improve ROI reporting and tracking through integrating existing and new technologies. Helps to improve physician alignment and clinical integration by identifying and addressing barriers that impact patients and physicians across the continuum of care. Supports and promotes the infrastructure to enhance/build relationships among primary care physicians, patients, and sub- specialists. Keeps all physician profiles current in department software system as assigned. Assists medical staff services, employed medical group, and service line in recruitment, orientation, and successfully integrating new physicians to network in support of system strategic plan. Works with identified key physicians to communicate their services to the broader community maximizing relationships with the medical community. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree or 4 years' work related experience Required
