Reports To: VP of Sales

Position Summary:

As a Regional Sales Director (RSD), you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by acquiring new customers, retaining existing customers, and expanding the company's market share. You will develop and execute sales strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives. Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers and internal teams, will be crucial to your success in this role. To excel in this position, you should have excellent communication skills, a deep understanding of SAAS, and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets. You will collaborate closely with other teams, including customer success and hardware and you’ll fit right in if you have a strong ping pong game!

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

•              Manage accounts by calling prospective customers and setting up meetings, demos, lunches etc.

•              Develop sales leads and/or take existing sales leads, negotiate, and close the deal.

•              Call cold leads and cultivate them into qualified leads.

•              Manage expectations through routine and thorough contact and communication with target markets.

•              Negotiate directly with end customers.

•              Ability to manage medium to large customers.

•              Establish "trusted partner" relationships with target markets.

•              Quick response to inbound leads and requests. 

•              Develop new and existing sales leads.

•              Responsible for sale from the first point of contact to close.

•              High level of comfort with software and technology – we are “tech-savvy”. Telematics knowledge is preferred.

•              Ability to be flexible when working with customers those present different levels of knowledge and experience with technology.

•              Arrange and lead virtual and face-to-face meetings to demonstrate Fleet Intelligence™ platform to prospects.

•              Listen to and translate each customer’s needs to provide real, effective solutions.

•              Coordinate/utilize internal resources to broaden and deepen account relationships.

•              Develop and maintain a pipeline of opportunities on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

•              Exceed KPI’s for daily, weekly, and monthly activity goals for calls, appointments, and demos.

•              Work closely with manager in communicating all active negotiations.

•              Work with management to develop compelling proposals and contracts on a timely basis.

•              Develop customized collateral based on individual customer needs.

•              Maintain timely and accurate account documentation.

•              Participate in selected industry activities and tradeshows which may require travel.

•              Stay current on industry trends and new or innovative approaches and incorporate into solutions, as appropriate.

•              Perform other duties as required/assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

•              Minimum 7-10 years’ experience in sales.

•              Exposure to heavy equipment, telematics, or fleet management is a plus.

•              Experience selling software, in addition to hardware is a plus.

•              Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.  

•              Reliable transportation for on-site sales calls and customer visits.

•              A proven pattern of past success in sales.

•              Ability to learn quickly and share that knowledge (solution demos) – fast learners needed.

•              Ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with prospects, customers, and co-workers.

•              A clear sense of integrity, work ethic, and a sincere interest in building strong relationships.

•              Strong phone and video chat presence and ability to lead live video demonstrations.

•              Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.com or similar ESD.

•              May require up to 25% travel.

•              Ability to carry out duties and responsibilities with limited supervision.

Physical Requirements:

•              Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.

•              Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from worksite to another location such as customers office.

•              Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
