Job Title – Senior Information Security Engineer

We're searching for a Security Engineer for a contract in Scottsdale through end of the year with possibility to extend.

  1. Minimum Experience :

  2. At least 5 years of progressively responsible information technology experience.

  3. Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience with security tools including, but not limited to, reverse proxies, intrusion prevention, malware detection, and vulnerability management.

  4. Technical Expertise :

  5. Proven expertise with AWS/Azure, secure coding, threat modeling, identity management and authentication, cryptography, penetration testing, authentication and security protocols, system administration, and network security.

  6. Familiarity with Web services and experience with multiple programming languages such as JSON, PowerShell, Ruby, Python, Perl, etc.

  7. Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP, common protocols, and standards.

  8. Demonstrated experience in analyzing large data sets and unstructured data for identifying trends and anomalies indicative of malicious activity.

  9. Communication and Collaboration :

  10. Expert ability to communicate across all levels of IT, present complex ideas concisely, and articulate technical ideas both verbally and in writing.

  11. Proven ability to manage productive relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.

  12. Ability to proactively educate stakeholders on security best practices.

  13. Skills and Abilities :

  14. Advanced skills with Microsoft Office products, M365, and Visio.

  15. Ability to identify complex problems, review information to develop and evaluate options, and recommend solutions.

  16. Expert collaboration, influencing, and negotiation skills.

  17. Superior customer service skills including managing and responding to different customer situations while maintaining a positive and friendly attitude.

  18. Troubleshooting and organizational skills with a can-do attitude and the ability to adjust to changing requirements.

  19. Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure, meet deadlines, present a professional demeanor, and work well independently.

  20. Education and Certifications :

  21. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Criminal Law, or other related field, or equivalent work experience.

  22. Security certifications such as GIAC, GSEC, GCED, or CISSP required.

  23. A Master’s degree is highly preferred.
