DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Fiscal Technician, you will be tasked with determining child and family eligibility for IV-E reimbursement, maintaining agency records, and communicating with the local county assistance offices. You will be required to maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of the laws, regulations, and procedures relative to IV-E eligibility. Responsibilities include utilizing the agency data base, assisting with contracting foster care agencies, processing invoices, completing data entry, and verifying data for accuracy and compliance.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week. Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Fiscal Assistant; or Three years of work involving the maintenance of fiscal or financial records, including one year of responsible work which involves the application of accounting or fiscal principles and practices; and graduation from high school; or One year of experience in maintaining and reviewing fiscal records and an associate degree in accounting or business administration; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training. Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Lackawanna County. This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
