Starbucks Coffee Company Application Developer Lead in Seattle, Washington

Application Developer Lead: 

 

  • Lead development of technology and process solutions to establish key business capabilities and platform features related to data and advanced analytics on Azure cloud platform.

``` - Design, develop and maintain security solutions for Azure data and infrastructure in accordance with enterprise cloud standards and guidelines.

``` - Develop and implement DevSecOps solutions for platform infrastructure and applications.

``` - Lead prototype efforts for complex problems by proactively shaping candidate solutions on the platform.

``` - Lead and collaborate in planning, decomposing, estimating, scheduling, prioritization and resource allocation exercises.

``` - Participate in requirements gathering and backlog refinement, lead shaping and guiding systems approach, drive project initiation, contribute to functional design, and lead technical design and development.

``` - Identify and prioritize innovative platform opportunities and technical debt with regular reviews, creating solutions to improve platform offering or remediate systemic operational problems.

``` - Provide application and platform expertise for new business capabilities during the IT planning process.

``` - Help drive the vision, roadmap, and platform investments needed to take business solutions to the next level.

``` - Supervise junior developers on the team by setting priorities and guiding deliverables.   

 

Telecommuting permitted up to 40% per week.   

 

Full time employment, Monday -- Friday, 40 hours per week. Pay Range: $177,160 - $228,400 per year.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field, plus 8 years of experience (of which 5 years must be progressive, post-baccalaureate experience) in an application development role. Alternatively, will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field, plus 6 years of experience in an application development role.  

 

 

Must have experience in each of the following:  

 

  • 5 years of experience in IT build engineering, infrastructure, and delivery;

``` - 4 years of experience building highly available, scalable Cloud based platform and infrastructure for cloud native systems;

``` - 4 years of experience in software project life cycle activities, including designing, supporting, and deploying internet-based products or services;
