This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin's multiple Blue Moon lander product lines. To further Blue Origin's mission of having millions of people living and working in space, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface. In addition to our MK1 Pathfinder mission our MK2 Crew Lander mission will demonstrate the lander's core capabilities - including the privately funded BE-7 landing engine, precision landing sensors, and integrated power and propulsion architecture - as a precursor to certifying the vehicle for use by NASA as part of the Artemis lunar exploration program. The team building this vehicle is rethinking how space systems are designed, with a high-performance architecture, efficient reusability, and rapid design iteration. Join our team and pave the road to a permanent lunar presence! Blue Origin is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as the Avionics IPT Lead. As the Avionics IPT Lead for Lunar Permanence, you will report to the Sr. Director of the Lunar Product Engineering group within Lunar Permanence and directly support all aspects of project management to include cost, schedule, risk & opportunity, and change management for the Lunar Avionics team. This includes areas of Communications, Wire Harness, Command and Data Handling Avionics, and Controller Avionics. You will use your project engineering skills to organize budgets, schedules, and program plans to ensure development, qualification and production hardware is delivered. You will use your technical background to understand and effectively communicate with Blue Origin internal organizations and suppliers to guide project planning. You will build project management plans and manage project schedules, WBS, and cost, and where appropriate coordinate schedules to integrate the project development with the overall vehicle programs. You will present status, risks & opportunities, variances, and recovery plans to engineering and program management. You will manage the project business rhythms and develop/communicate key program metrics.
