Expeditors' IT Procurement team is located at our corporate office and is an essential part of maintaining our standing as a leader in global logistics. As an IT Procurement Buyer I, your primary responsibility will be to support Expeditors with the acquisition of goods and services and properly receiving, coding, and facilitating payment of vendor invoices to our Accounting department. What you'll be doing:
Request quotes
Create order requests
Issue purchase orders
Process vendor invoices to Accounting for payment
Process telecom billings to Accounting for payment
Document procedures, processes, policies, and best practices
Create tax and payment allocations, including for enterprise/global billing
Maintain vendor relationships and address issues when they occur
Provide status and other details for department leaders
Process and action incoming internal support requests
Additional Buyer related tasks as needed

This position is on-site and will reside in the greater Seattle, WA. area at one of the following locations depending on availability. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate. Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Relevant experience with accounting, bookkeeping, and/or purchasing functions
Foundational skill level using Microsoft Excel
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to prioritize and multitask while maintaining deadline constraints
Commitment to accuracy and attention to detail
Strong customer service skills
Strong analytical skills
Ability to work independently and within a team
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience
1-2 years' experience managing telecom billings
1-2 years' experience with accounting fundamentals (practices and terminology)
1-2 years' experience with procuring IT hardware, software, and services

Expected base salary: $50,000 to $60,000
