Individuals in this role are key members of a multi-disciplinary team providing services to children with cleft and craniofacial differences. Responsibilities will include perceptual and instrumental assessment of velopharyngeal function and other craniofacial speech disorders, differential diagnosis of cleft palate-related speech disorders, and involvement in decision-making for surgical or prosthetic management of VPI. Experience with evaluation and treatment of cleft and craniofacial feeding disorders is also strongly encouraged. Candidates with research interests are welcomed.

About the Seattle Children's Craniofacial Center:

The Craniofacial Center specializes in the treatment of cleft lip and palate, craniosynostosis, craniofacial microsomia and other complex craniofacial conditions. Under the leadership of Drs. Michael Cunningham, Medical Director, and Srinivas Susarla, Surgical Director, the center has become one of the largest programs of its kind in the country and one of the busiest clinics in the hospital.

Our multidisciplinary team provides diagnosis and long-term management for children with craniofacial differences.

Required Education and Experience

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university. Experience in pediatric diagnostic or treatment settings.

Required Credentials

Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Washington State Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.

Preferred

Pediatric hospital experience. Functional knowledge of a second language.

Compensation Range

$44.46 - $66.69 per hour

Salary Information

This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
