JPMorgan Chase Director of Site Reliability Engineering - Problem Management in Seattle, Washington

As a Director of Site Reliability Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking in Infrastructure & Production Management division, you are deemed a force multiplier at both a line-of-business and firm-wide level. Inspire your team members and others to deliver durable and resilient products and services to our customers, define firm-wide strategies for reliability, and guide and entrust your team to lead and execute those strategies.

Job responsibilities

  • Manages stakeholders with broad direction on complex projects to ensure work is executed according to compliance standards, service level agreements, and business requirements

  • Anticipates the needs of immediate team to proactively make decisions to eliminate roadblocks and deliver products and applications in line with business requirements

  • Applies cross-functional technical and business knowledge and leadership to multiple technical areas and disciplines

  • Identifies opportunities to initiate operational changes across disciplines and partners with leadership to support, influence, and drive innovation

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience

  • In addition, 5+ years of experience leading technologists to manage, anticipate, and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise and more broadly across the organization

  • Experience leading technologists to manage, anticipate, and solve complex technological issues firm-wide

  • Influences the team's culture by championing innovation and change for firm-wide success

  • Experience hiring, developing, and recognizing talent

  • Demonstrated prior experience influencing across highly matrixed, complex, organizations and delivering value at scale

  • Experience leading complex projects supporting site reliability engineering design, scaling, resilience, and system performance assessments

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience with ITIL processes and frameworks

  • Strong understanding of problem management and thematic analysis of incident data
