Starbucks Coffee Company Engineer II - ST in Seattle, Washington
Engineer II -- ST:
- Deliver high-quality, reliable and stable technologies and security capabilities in support of the Starbucks Engineering Platform.
- Accountable for the installation, configuration, monitoring, analysis, maintenance and technical support of the platform.
- Communicate highly complex ideas and concepts to non-technical peers and customers.
- Establish cross-functional, collaborative relationships with business and technology partners.
- Support the development team and perform activities to resolve developer issues in a timely and accurate fashion.
- Engineer build and release processes.
- Effectively manage and partner with technology vendors to deliver against business objectives.
- Conduct research and make recommendations on standards, products and services.
- Ensures application and infrastructure architectural solutions are stable, secure and compliant with company standards and practices.
- Implements all technologies in accordance with Information Security's guiding principles for highly sensitive data.
- Provide high-availability operational support and automate solutions across the environment.
- Implement deep telemetry capabilities to provide ongoing success and performance metrics.
- Implement service monitoring across all platforms to ensure continuous availability and operational continuity of critical systems.
- Implement and maintain system configurations and baselines to support secure application development software control best practices and standards.
Telecommuting permitted up to 40% per week.
Full time employment, Monday -- Friday, 40 hours per week. Pay Range: $139,507 - $172,400 per year.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related field, plus 2 years of experience in software development.
Must have 2 years of experience in each of the following:
- Developing applications;
- Using at least one of the following languages: Java, Kotlin, Javascript, Swift or C#;
- Using client-server architectures;
- Debugging and optimizing code;
- Designing, analyzing and troubleshooting large-scale applications;
- Using RESTful APIs;
- Writing automated tests, including unit tests and UI tests;
- Using database technologies;
- Running and maintaining a 24x7 production environment; and
- Using agile methodology to work with cross-functional team members, including team members from design, product, QA and SDET.
