Hilton Executive Meetings Manager - DoubleTree and Hilton Seattle Airport in Seattle, Washington

The Hilton Seattle Airport and DoubleTree Seattle Airport are looking for an Executive Meetings Manager. The position is responsible for the successful sales, planning and overall execution of small, short-term bookings that take place within the hotel. The Executive Meetings Manager will interact frequently with customers and Guests to learn about their needs and develop relationships from which to earn repeat and expanded business.

The Hilton Seattle Airport & Conference Center is across the street from the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and features 396 guest rooms and approximately 40,000 square feet of event space. The Doubletree Seattle Airport Hotel is 850 rooms and approximately 40,000 square feet of event space.

What will I be doing?

As an Executive Meetings Manager, you would be responsible for representing the hotel's services and facilities to prospective clients and customers in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Respond to sales inquiries from potential clients and customers seeking sleeping rooms, meeting space, food and beverage services, etc.
  • Ensure the highest standards of Event Management are in place including building relationships with new/existing customers in order to secure rollover business
  • Manage the department’s day-to-day operations and activities, whereas implementation of the selling strategy yields meetings and events space
  • Initiate new sales, prospects and qualifies leads and solicits potential clients
  • Host and entertain clients and maintain client accounts
  • Conduct property site visits and answer questions
  • Determine rates, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, service accounts and analyze lost business for the hotel(s)
  • Develop sales plans and strategies to meet or exceed established revenue and room night goals
  • Partner with operations departments to ensure full participation in servicing accounts
  • To ensure that all Function Sheets are handed over the Food and Beverage Operations Team every week for the following 7- 10 days outline and that all the information is accurate, confirmed and billing details documented and in line with the credit policy
  • To meet & greet nominated conference contact or organizer to check on their satisfaction and the set up of the meeting rooms on the day of the event

The range for this role is $32.00 - $35.00 per hour, and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.

  • Hilton offers a best-in market SIP (Short-Term Incentive Plan) to our Sales, Catering & Events teams to reward our employees for their contributions to our company’s financial success. The Plan includes a quarterly component worth 20% of bonus eligible earnings. The quarterly incentive may have multiple individually weighted objectives, meaning multiple opportunities to earn a payout. A revenue goal of 200k USD or greater is required in order for the payout potential for that objective to be uncapped. The payout as a percentage of BEE is capped at 60% at 250% achievement if and when the revenue goal for that objective is below 200k USD for the quarter. #LI-JL2
