As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will share responsibilities for maintaining all facilities cranes and material handling equipment by performing troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, repairs and upgrades. This team is chartered with planning and performing preventive and corrective maintenance, and unplanned servicing of facility systems and manufacturing equipment. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight. Responsibilities: Independently perform maintenance, modification, refurbishment, troubleshooting, repair, adjustment, checkout, test and operation of fixed cranes, hoists, lifts, monorails, and other large conveyance equipment. Install and configure new equipment as well as dismantle and replace defective parts on existing equipment. Maintain written, electronic logs and records, as required. Support continuous improvement initiatives within Facilities and in coordination with other company stakeholders. Contribute to facilities team awareness of infrastructure and system status by highlighting discrepancies and areas of increased risk. Must maintain licenses and certifications required for performance of assigned tasks. Support the continued use and improvement of the CMMS preventive maintenance program (Maximo) for our properties. Perform maintenance and/or repairs of facilities and equipment in-house or serve as the focal point for contracted efforts, as necessary. Act as the general contractor on major facilities projects, performing functions such as soliciting and evaluating bids, reviewing work efforts, and managing to schedule. Coordinate with project leads on mobilization and demobilization of equipment as needed. Provide general technical and mechanical support on an as needed basis. Qualifications: This position requires at least 5-7 years of relevant practical experience in industrial cranes. Advanced knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems, low voltage signals, mechanical components, fluid power components and the ability to troubleshoot and repair those systems. Training and experience should have been acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training. WA State crane certification desired. Developed organizational skills and ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Working knowledge of CMMS systems and daily workflow use. Knowledge of Microsoft word, excel, project and power point programs. Experience with Maximo a plus.
