Actalent Failure Analysis Technician in Seattle, Washington

Job Title: Failure Analysis Technician

Job Description

As a Failure Analysis Lab Technician, you will conduct technical lab work to support prototype failure analysis and materials development investigations. Your responsibilities include developing and executing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) aimed at producing world-class analysis outcomes in sample preparation and physical/chemical characterization. You will also provide technical support for materials and failure analysis investigations to drive design and manufacturing improvements.

Hard Skills

  • Optical inspection and measurements

  • Mechanical cross-sectioning and associated sample preparation

  • 2D and computed tomography (CT) X-ray inspection methods

  • Materials testing execution (thermal-mechanical and environmental testing)

  • Lab equipment maintenance

  • Failure Analysis

Job Type

This is a contract position with a duration of 11 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Seattle, Washington.

Work Environment

The role is based in the SPICE Lab in downtown Seattle, set in a lab environment equipped with various testing equipment.
