Amazon Finance Manager, Buyer Risk Prevention in Seattle, Washington
Description
The Buyer Risk Prevention (BRP) team is looking for a Finance Manager to manage Finance Planning and Analysis (FP&A), including budgeting, forecasting, and headcount management for BRP. BRP is part of the Worldwide Customer Trust, which organization employees over 20,000 employees who provide support to Amazon's Selling Partners while also ensuring that we protect Amazon customers from bad actors. In this role you will support headcount and expense forecasting and reporting for the organization. Additionally, you will help support the Buyer Abuse and Account Integrity teams who work to prevent abuse of our concessions policies and take actions to protect customer accounts. This role actively helps the business identify areas to reduce costs while maintaining a high quality of service for Amazon's Customers.
Key job responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
• Drive standardization and automation of planning and reporting processes, adhering to deadlines
• Analyze Opex variances vs. plan and provide insight to business partners including cost-saving and process improvement recommendations
• Partner with the business to make trade-off decisions regarding headcount resourcing and support levels
• Support internal customer groups in all finance matters including budgeting, forecasting and financial controls
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
5+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
5+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
5+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
5+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
Preferred Qualifications
6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
MBA, or CPA
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
