Amazon Global Sales Operations Manager, Generative AI Startups in Seattle, Washington

We are looking for a Sales Operations Manager possessing technical, financial, and business operations skill sets to partner with the global Startups Segment team focused on the rapid growth of our Generative AI customers, playing a key role in supporting this fast growing, strategic area of the AWS business.

As a key member of the global Startup Sales Operations team, you will have a direct impact on the success of Generative AI startups leveraging AWS to scale their businesses. By applying your sales operations expertise, you will help teams across the global Startups Segment build deeper relationships with these customers, engaging with them earlier and more often, and delivering the passion and expertise that they demand. Your work will directly contribute to the growth and success of the Generative AI startups business and the Startups Segment more broadly, both strategic priorities for the AWS business.

Key job responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence and efficiency across globally distributed teams supporting Generative AI startups on AWS. Your primary focus will be on:

Executive Insights:

  • Partner with business analytics counterparts to develop and maintain comprehensive reporting and dashboards to track key performance metrics, sales pipeline, and revenue

  • Leverage data-driven insights to identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies

  • Collaborate with teams across the Startups business to provide data-backed recommendations to inform strategic decision-making

Revenue & Forecast Management:

  • Assist in management of the sales forecasting process, analyzing trends and variances to provide accurate and timely projections

  • Collaborate with Finance to ensure accurate revenue recognition and reporting

  • Identify and address any operational roadblocks impacting the sales team's ability to close deals and progress pipeline

Process Optimization:

  • Streamline and standardize sales operations processes to drive consistency and scalability

  • Implement tools and technologies to automate repetitive tasks and improve productivity

  • Document and socialize best practices to enable the broader team

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of Microsoft Excel experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Experience developing and implementing systems/tools utilized for CRM, variable compensation, revenue reporting, forecasting, Salesforce automation, etc.

  • Experience defining, refining and implementing sales processes, procedures and policies or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using Salesforce (or other CRM tool) or BI tools

  • Experience presenting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $120,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $199,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
