Providence St. Joseph Health Materials Coordinator in Seattle, Washington

Description Utilizes a computerized MMIS (Materials Management Information System) and associated hardware / software, to conduct physical inventories, replenishment of supply areas (such as patient care and ancillary areas), receive incoming stock and non-stock freight and parcel shipments, and put away inventory items. Prepares and coordinates outgoing parcel and freight shipments. This position is also responsible for processing fax, phone, electronic order entry, and walk up supply requests in the MSC. Enters data into the MMIS in order to inventory, pick, deliver, and stock products associated with the aforementioned functions, all with a high level of accuracy to ensure accountability for all products and equipment in the MSC (Materials Service Center). Delivers stock and non-stock products, and packages to the appropriate department / areas. Rotates stock in MSC inventories, and on par levels on a first-in/first-out basis in accordance with departmental and industry standards. This position has regular interactions with internal and external customers, including co-workers, other Swedish employees, patients and visitors, representatives from other hospitals and various vendors. Required Qualifications: 1 year of inventory systems, receiving, warehousing and/or supply distribution using a computerized MMIS in a perpetual inventory system within the previous three years Preferred Qualifications: Inventory and supply distribution management courses Experience in a healthcare environment Experience with material handling equipment (hand trucks, pallet jack, etc) Why Join Providence?
