Randstad Digital is seeking a skilled Network Monitoring Engineer for a contract role in Seattle, Washington. responsibilities:

Monitoring and Analysis:

  • Monitor network and system performance using Splunk and SolarWinds tools.

  • Analyze and resolve performance issues and network bottlenecks.

  • Develop and implement monitoring strategies to ensure system reliability and availability.

Troubleshooting:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Datadog, Splunk, and SolarWinds tools and related infrastructure.

  • Provide support for network and system issues detected by Datadog, Splunk, and SolarWinds

Installation and Configuration:

  • Install, configure, and maintain SolarWinds products, including NPM (Network Performance Mo.nitor), SAM (Server & Application Monitor), and other modules as needed.

  • Customize and optimize SolarWinds dashboards, alerts, and reports according to business requirements.

Automation and Scripting:

  • Develop automation scripts to streamline monitoring tasks and integrate SolarWinds with other IT tools.

  • Utilize APIs and other scripting methods to enhance the functionality of SolarWinds.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with network engineers, system administrators, and other IT teams to ensure the effective deployment and use of SolarWinds.

  • Provide technical guidance and training to junior team members and other IT staff.

Documentation:

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for SolarWinds configurations, processes, and procedures.

  • Update and manage knowledge base articles related to SolarWinds.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience working with SolarWinds products, including NPM, SAM, and other modules.

  • Proven experience in network and systems monitoring and troubleshooting.

  • strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and applications.
