Diamond Parking Service Operations Manager in Seattle, Washington
SUMMARY Overall responsibility/accountability for all aspects of day-to-day operations, to facilitate the maximization of resources for customer satisfaction, productivity, schedule adherence and economic goals by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Assist management in all aspects of the operations as directed, and assume duties and responsibilities of the Manager in his/her absence. Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve overall objectives. Oversee daily activities of associates to maximize scheduling and real-time utilization of human resources, including hiring, retention, professional development, and termination, as well as accountability and performance expectations, standards of performance and reviews, salary adjustments, transfers, promotions, while fostering a cooperative working environment to maximize morale, productivity, and efficiency/effectiveness. Properly train associates in customer service, operational procedures, time completion and on-the-job safety. Documenting associate corrective actions (including progressive discipline) taken to improve associate performance. Conducting audits of associates to ensure procedures are being followed. Maintain a courteous and professional working relationship with all customers, vendors, company sub-ordinates, co-workers, supervisors and managers. Provide prompt communication to Manager of all operational issues, including corrective action or alternative suggestions when necessary Provide input for future process improvements Participate in daily, weekly, monthly and/or annual planning processes as needed Create, implement and maintain strategies for maximizing profitability. Manage expenses. Ensure accounts payables and receivables are processed within the established time parameters. Maintain a clean, neat, professional appearance at all times. Accurately complete and submit associates' time records, according to the payroll requirements, and quickly resolve payroll inquiries and corrections. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Manages subordinate supervisors who supervise 2 to 50 or more employees. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience: Two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
